The British Ambassador to Spain is confident that Brexit will not have a negative impact on tourism in Spain and that the number of British tourists visiting the country will not be affected once the UK leaves the European Union.
Brits will still make up a large proportion of tourist numbers and the number of visitors coming to Spain from the UK this year will beat the 18million reached in 2016, the Ambassador, Simon Manley, expressed in a forum on Friday.
With the UK being the third largest investor in Spain, Manley believes that it is in both countries interests to not only maintain a commercial relationship but to strengthen it.
